Trover co-founders Rich Barton and Jason Karas saw how difficult it was for adventurous people to capture and share their stories about favorite local restaurants, famous landmarks, and memorable adventures. So, in 2011, they set out to create something part gallery and part guidebook; a location-tagging and social-photo sharing experience that could connect people and fuel passion for exploration.

And so Trover was born.
