We arrived at our cool little Airbnb pad in London. Our host came and met us and showed us our room. It had everything we needed at half the amount of a hotel in central London would cost.
So once we were settled in we were off to a couple of pubs we saw on our walk to our accommodation. We started off at the Greencoat Boy which seemed like a nice little pub (will mention something about some of the pubs in London later).
Then we headed to the The Winsdor Castle pub which had a totally different vibe. They had their own beers and spirits, and we sat were here for a while soaking in the vibe of London and the people that turned up. Finally we needed something to eat and since it was Sunday, The Winsdor Castle Pub had stopped cooking. So we had to head back to the Greencoat Boy for a bite (this is when we smelt the rat).
Now don’t get me wrong the food is good but as we have found, the Greencoat Boy belongs to a chain. It is not a bad thing but I think we have now been to about 4 pubs that belong to this chain. The thing is that you don’t get anything different as they all serve the same food and drinks. Which is a bit sad as we were looking for that British Pub experience. Lucky there are some ‘true’ British pubs out there if you look around.
